SOLD Nice Early Remington 40X Custom built by C.R. Hart in .222 Rem with sweet Unertl 20X

Very nice early 40X Remington built on 722 old receiver, serial is 17xxx. It has the 722 style bolt release spring and the different and super rare 721-style 40X adjustable trigger.

This gun was barreled and chambered by C.R. HART in polished stainless in .222 Rem, as well as them installing a modified 722 bolt with the small bolt face. Bolt serial therefore doesn’t match receiver, understandably. The 24” barrel looks very nice and I believe is a 1:14 twist. Bolt face is nice and not etched or burned by primer burn.

Stock is factory, not cut or shortened.

I will sell the scope separately or with the rifle.

I will also include some (50+)primed cases, 20 rds of new ammo(if they can ship with the rifle), and a good set of Lee full length dies.

Shipping will be from my FFL to your FFL and is calculated to ship to the Con. USA.

I would consider a Pre-64 Winchester model 70 in odd or large caliber, a fine .22 like a Feinwerkbau or Anschutz 54 repeater, a rimX, a Ruger no.1 in .475 Linebaugh, or a Puma lever in .480 Ruger. I would also consider a 2011 based pistol or a high level M1A possibly. I would also be interested in a CZ 527 in 7.62 x 39 or 6.5 Grendel, or a CZ 550/ Safari in a big caliber
