Next time I shoot my 1911..

I'm gonna take a firing stance like this. It's from the opening credits of The TV series Crime Story with Dennis Farina. There's something about that stance, one handed with his 1911, the hat, the overcoat, left hand sticking out behind him (for balance?) just always got a kick out of that scene.

Maybe IDPA could have a stage like this.

Which I found actually works! Just did a pistol course and for shooting under low-slung cars we had no choice but to lay them on their sides. Made good hits with no problem at 10 yds.. Right to POA. Also discovered why gangsta's hold their pistols so high and shoot down into the legs of their 'friends'...

This course, obviously, was taught by a retired SWAT officer and police trainer. Has a lovely scar on his right forehead where the bad guy he was shooting in the head shot him in the same place. Circled his skull just under the skin and came out the back.

Thats the way they come out of the box is one reason but the main reason is so the clip dont fall out
