Not that it helps you with your faurh in the product, but how many bad pieces in how many total?

5 out of 100
When you buy something you ought to get what you pay for. Be like getting 5% less at the gas pump than what the meter says.
Rip off. If your in business to sell something it should be a quality people want.

Had a few bags of 25-06 Winchester brass with bad primer pockets. Looked like 8th grade shop class punched them out with a framing nail. Powder valley told us to call Winchester. Turned into quite the fiasco.

yes, their latest strategy seems to be to shorten the cases .010" or so, thin the case .002" or .003", and raise the pricing by 5 or 6%. The best part is to bag the brass in plastic so you can't open a box and check the tolerances.

I am getting to where all I buy is LAPUA or the new Starline. RWS is really good as well.

I used to use Winchester brass, but about 5 years ago I got a bag of 270 and a bag of 243. 6 culls in one, 7 in the other, not good. Should have taken the hint. It used to be never more than about 2 culls max. Then about 3 years ago I picked up 2 100ct bags of 22-250. I ended up with IIRC 144 usable pieces out of the 200. Then, after the first firing I found 7 more with cracked necks. Final total IIRC: 63 pieces of junk. I emailed Winchester customer service. I said something like "I sorta do believe in EOE but don't you think perhaps it's a bad idea to be utilizing visually impaired employees for QC work?" I got an immediate response from a real nice lady. "Send it in and if you have the bags, send them also for lot# ID. We'll look at them and then send you replacements." I said "I don't want any". IIRC, they sent me a refund for one 100ct bag. I won't buy WW brass anymore. Sad deal.

Edit: The AACRS disease must have kicked in. Did a actual count of usable brass from the original 200. I have 157 loadable cases. 43 culls. Still ugly numbers, >20% reject rate.

Talked to one of my hunting partners, we usually use Winchester 270 brass for 2506 ai , he got 100 win brass, said they have gone down hill in last 3 yrs (last purchase) took them all back !

My last purchase of W-W .223 brass (about 3-4 months ago) hasn’t shown any problems though I’ve yet to work my way through the whole bag.
Previous purchases of .257 Roberts brass was far and away the best for forming .257 AI but I haven’t found any in years.

I’ll probably follow the previous suggestion to use Starline, out of curiosity if nothing else.

Just a reminder WW brass no QC too many culls, decided to try ADG 300wm --- 150 rounds, weight difference, .3 , necks .0005 uniformity, Beauty EH ! Im never going back... Edit should be ( weight difference 3 grain spread max ) total 150 pcs.
