Just wanted to post a quick note to say "Thanks!" to all you folks, especially the owner/moderator. What a WONDERFUL site you all have here!
I've been recently bitten by the accurate rifle shooters bug big time. Over the past three months I have absolutely scoured the Internet for as much good knowledge as I can locate and I must say that between this forum and the accompanying 6mmbr.com web site I think I've found the Holy Grail of excellent information pertaining to accurate rifle shooting!
There as SOOOOOO many great articles on 6mmbr.com that it just boggles my mind. Nowhere else have I seen such a great amount of accurate information than there, and here on this forum.
As a newbie in this regimen I'm sure you all are going to be hearing from me on a consistent basis as I've certainly come to know that there are a great many veterans out there that love to share information, and as a highly technical individual by trait, I love to take it all in.
I won't go into great detail here at the moment, but just as a matter of introduction I will say that this new adventure of mine is starting out with an decent vehicle that I'm still awaiting to arrive from ordering - A Savage 12BVSS chambered in Win .243. Lots of new accessories will be arriving in the near future as well, many based on things I've read here on the forum as well as the articles on 6mmbr.com - matter of fact, I'm just about to give Mike Lucas a call/e-mail and purchase his acclaimed Lucas Cleaning-Rod Bore Guide for this new rifle, simply because I read of it here and can easily see it is top of the line - so in a small way, thanks for already pointing me in the right direction as I'm certain I could have blown much more money on other products that don't even compare. As a matter of fact, I've saved so much money already from the incredibly good and accurate information out here that just previous to registering on the forum and writing this first note I took the time to donate to this site via PayPal - what an INCREDIBLE bargain and smart use of some funds!
Been a handgunner for years, and reload extensively for those platforms in 9 different calibers - easily over 10.000 rounds with many more years to come. I also plan to extensively reload in the Win .243 rifle caliber as well. Those accessories, pieces and parts are 'on the way' as well. BTW - I'm the one whose loaded handgun rounds like they were rifle rounds, thus achieving incredible results that most handgun reloaders can't believe can be achieved. Yeah, I know, what's the purpose in handgun calibers right? Well, the only real purpose as I see it was to prove it could/can be done, and in the process learning a ton. I think accurate rifle reloading is going to be a real 'shoe-in' for me...
So there ya have it - my intro. Hope to participate and add to the fine discussions on a consistent basis...
Until that next post, thanks again, take care and good shooting all!
