Want to replace the trigger on my 7 waht is the best application for a varmit trigger 1-4lbs,want a drop in with safety and bolt stop.

I'm beginning to like the new X-Mark Pro triggers that Remington is using now. Kinda wish I wouldn't have sold the two I did.

Not one thing wrong with a Jewell, just didn't want to sink 230 bucks into a partime varmit and deer rig.How about a timney? Or a riflebasics?

Apparently you have been shopping for a JEWELL at the wrong location. I'll put one in your mail box for $195.00.
See my jewell trigger ad on this board. Larry in western Ky.

With a little time and error most folks can put a 700 trigger below the 4# range...
Sure is enough info on the net to figure out how to do it if you don't know how....

I have a Rifle Basix and it seems to be a good trigger. I just adjusted a 700 trigger,1990 vintage) down to about 2 lb 10 oz last week on my son's .308. That was as low as I could safely go.

I have used Timney before and liked them but he has changed his design- for the worst, so I went with a Rifle Basix on the latest action.
