I have been wanting to upgrade from my Lyman G6 dispensing scale to a lab grade digital scale. I know that many here are using the A&D fx120i which is an excellent unit. But it seems every time I get ready to purchase one, something happens and the funds are diverted to a more pressing issue.
I attend a lot of auctions, primarily I buy and resell, but I also come across items that I want too. In the last auction, among the other items I was bidding on I was also bidding on two lab scales. One was an A&D GR-202 scale and the other Sartorius CP423S. The bidding got way past my limit on the GR-202 but I won the CP423S.
The Sartorius CP423S is a very high end lab scale and I am very pleased with it so far. The lab had removed the shields from it, but I have contacted Sartorius in hopes of acquiring the missing shield. I also needed a calibration weight and ordered a 200g weight from A&D.
Played with the settings yesterday and trying to understand all the features this unit has. But very happy so far. Using another calibration weight (50g) is appears to be right on. It has accuracy to 0.001g.
Also, added to the bench is a Anti Static Mat and Monitoring Display. The mat and monitor also comes with a wrist attachment. Between the mat and the wrist attachment the system prevents a static charge from building up. I any does, the system gives you an audible alarm and an indicator light.
Last item is a TESA 6" Dial Caliper made in Switzerland.
