New to the site

I am new to the site, Ive used the information for years but finally registered. I am a military shooter that shoots just about everything. I enjoy shooting Long Range (all relative) with both bolt guns and gas guns. I mainly shoot and reload for .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor. Happy to be here and thanks for all the great info.

Yes, I am active duty. Stationed at Fort Polk currently.

AH! Cajun country. I have a foster kid that was an MP. Traveled all over the world. He was down in Fort Bliss for a while, then he did a stint in Germany. He liked it. He got out and lives near me. We shoot together, all the time. Seems the Army taught him how to shoot cause he's a real challenge to keep up with. Thanks for your service. Glad to have you here. If you ever get a chance, sneak down to the coast for some Red fishing. I do it once a year. Lot's of fun. Josh.

Nice to meet you Josh. Yeah the Army does a pretty decent job of teaching the fundamentals. I hunted a lot of mountain mulies and elk growing up but the Army honed my skills for sure. 15 years of shooting for free has helped quite a bit too..

Did you ever get to shoot the MK 19? My kid smiles when he talks about it. "Authority at distance" he says. He was behind one in Bosnia, quite a few years ago.

Welcome.
We have a common habit ,
Fort Dix class of 67.
Service Rifle , shoot mostly only Palma and 1000 yard now (old Guy's Game )
Best of Luck

Hi Sven, welcome! I was walking down the street yesterday and bumped into this guy carrying a big long pipe on his shoulder. So I asked him, are you a pole vaulter. He said no, I'm a Svede, but how did you know my name was vaulter. Sorry,it was the go to funny in northern Minnesota, sure to bring a smile. Velcome.
