I am sure that this topic has been covered here before but after searching lots of posts I can not find the answer to my question.
I have 22BR that I just got a few weeks ago and love it. I want to start loading with some new Lapua brass and keep finding recommendations for turning the necks. First of all which tools would I begin with?
The necks on the brass that came with the gun,7BR Remington) measure 2.42 and the Lapua brass after I resized it in a Forster full length die measures 2.50. I see that RCBS makes an outside neck turner for a reasonable price and Sinclair goes up quite a bit from there.
This gun is custom built back in 2000 or 2001. I have reloaded ammo with 55gr Nosler orange ballistic tip bullets, 34 gr BLC-2, Remington primers that, I am not kidding you have shot 5 shot groups at 5/8' at 100 yards. It has a home made harmonic balancer and a Douglas barrel on a Remington BDL action, mid 70's vintage) and original stock which has been bedded and a trigger that is very crisp at 12 ounces.
