New to benchrest shooting, looking for help choosing optic on my first rig

I am ALWAYS looking to get more for less. I had (2) 36X scopes. A Sightron and a Bosch and Lomb. Both were purchased used via this site, and both have been excellent performers. I started with a 24X variable, but was unable to see the tiny "X" dot for 100 yd score shooting. Both of the 36's fixed that problem. Neither one was more than $325, but that was 2-3 years ago.
