New to benchrest scope questions

I have just purchased a BR rifle and need to get scope. It will be chambered in 6br, and 6.5x47 I am planning to shoot 600 and 1000 bench light gun, and possibly do some Fclass. And of course I will kill a few prairie dogs at distance. I am think I want a 12-42 Nightforce BR or NXS but I am worried about having enough adjustment to get out to a 1000. The rifle has 20 MOA in the base, but I wanna hear from someone who has a similar setup. Also would the NXS be a good choice, my smith seems to think the BR line of scopes with front focus maintain point of aim better. I have a 5.5-22 NXS and I love it, and it seems to hold point of aim pretty good. Anyways wich scope would be the best tool for this job ?

The NF 12-42 BR has 40 MOA of elevation versus 45 for the NXS, the 20MOA base will do well with a flat shooting caliber out to 1000 yards. Comes down to if you like the side focus on the NXS or the AO on the BR series. The 32 power Nightforces have even more elevation adjustment, 50 on the BR, and a whopping 65MOA on the NXS.
Awesome scopes! I own 2 42 power BR's, and 1 32 power BR, all with NP-2DD reticles.
Some say the BR glass is better, but can't tell it by me. Also the BR's have 1/8 minute clicks versus 1/4 minute clicks on the NXS, but I hear the NXS is going to come out with 1/8 minute clicks sometime in the near future.
