Hit a local ranch that called due to losing another sheep to coyotes.
I built another AR15 in .223 for the Pulsar Trail xp38 640 core, to be stationed on.
Was 12-14*, COLD but very little wind. Snow was from 4" to 2 feet drifted.
About a 3/4 moon after the low fog & clouds cleared at about 9pm.
This set was on a low knoll with a good view out to 1/2 mile. Low/wide drainages, rolling hills.
This guy popped in out off my right side, not where I really expected it as my truck was 200 yards in that direction. Put my handheld thermal under my coveralls, pulled up the scope and saw it nice & clear. Following it as it went into circling in front of me, stopped broadside and Thwaaap, down it drops at my shot. It was about 252 yards.
