POLL New Survey for Ammo Types -- Centerfire and Rimfire

Here is a link to a detailed survey of ammunition types, including both centerfire and rimfire ammo. The survey results will help our sponsors augment their product lines to better match customer preferences.

The survey will run through June 30, 2020

Note, at the end of the survey there is an option to enter a contest. The contest winners can get a 200-round case of centerfire ammunition of their choice – Berger or Lapua.

Survey is working. Bulk of survey seems to be based on initial questions ie what do you shoot most Centerfire Rifle, Centerfire Pistol, Rimfire Rifle, Rimfire Pistol, or Blackpowder.
Questions about loaded ammunition may or may not apply but there is a place to write in an answer for specific cartridges. Good luck in the drawing!

The most interesting outcome of the survey to me will be to learn how many AS members shoot factory centerfire ammunition. Like @Papa Charlie stated above, the only factory ammunition I shoot is rimfire...

I completed the survey too, although I don't know if my input is what they were looking for, seeing as I entirely reload for my rifles. Last loaded ammo I bought was some 22LR.

I doubt seriously if they want us to make things up. I know I wouldn't if I were them.

I didn't make anything up. I answered it honestly. I left a couple blank but many of the questions were asking me to rank the importance of various attributes to me. Like I rated brass as 1st, bullets as 2nd, and target ammunition as 3rd in importance for Lapua, for me.

I tried to complete the survey, I just found myself answering questions that had no impact on me. I am sure it applies to many. Just not me, so I just closed out the survey.

I agree that the general gist of the survey wasn't really geared toward me, or many folks around here for that matter, but they asked so I gave them my opinion.

If they gave me 200 rnds of Lapua 6.5x47 loaded ammunition, I'd shoot it quite happily! I'd love to see how it compared to my reloads.

I don’t understand the value of the information gained by “use each number once”. It forces me to rank something higher than I feel it’s value is.
