new steevens 200 action question

Is the newer Stevens 200 action in 7mm Remington a staggered feed magazine attached to to action or is it a single feed attached to the stock? If someone knows pleas let me know. thanks!

All new production Stevens are now centerfeed mag systems.

If you are buying one form a local place you may still get a staggered though due to it sitting on the shelf for a bit, or at their suppliers warehouse. More than likely it'll be a centerfeed though.

Yes, but it is a little bit of work.

First,
You would have to relocate the front pillar to accomadate the longer action screw spacing. An easier way to do this is too just remove the old pillar, and redrill the same hole a bit oversized, then place a bigger pillar in there with a larger screw hole that will allow for the new spacing. If you do it right(screw hole big enough) it will now accomadate both screw spacings(having the overly large screw hole is OK, cause the screw isnt supposed to touch the sides of the pillar anyway).

Second,
You will need to cut a notch at the rear pillar(which also includes shortening the rear pillar) to make a place for the "L" bracket that holds in the centerfeed magbox. Some people have also had good luck not cutting the notch, eliminating the "L" bracket, and just velcro-ing the magbox into the magwell.

You could also just buy a stock for that action ;D

What kinda stock you have that you wanna convert?
