Thinning the inventory of things that are not getting used...I have a NIB(NEVER FIRED EXCEPT BY THE FACTORY) SIG P226 Blackwater Special Edition 9mm. Comes with everything that it came with when purchased new...5 mags(Hold 15 rounds each), 2 sets of grips, manual and factory fired casings. This is single action/ double action operation as well.
ADDING some trade items that I would be interested in: 1)Nightforce Competition with fine crosshair with dot. 2) Lapua Midas+ or X-Act 22 rimfire ammo(I buy this ammo from wholesalers, so that is the pricing that i will go buy...not retailers). 3) Shilen ratchet or Benchmark 22 rimfire .900 barrel blanks. This is about all that I can think of...don't need anymore handguns or centerfire rifles.
For those that don't know, the Blackwater Edition was a run of P226's for the Blackwater Security Company that was a private U.S. military contractor in Iraq. There was a scandal of sorts associated with this company and thus the Blackwater Edition was discontinued by SIG. I don't think this makes the gun rare but it does have a "unique" history which you can google and find out more.
This gun is one from the original early runs from 2006 as evidenced by the Original Blackwater Logo's on the grips and on the top of the slide. Sometime in 2007 They changed their corporate logo and the later runs of this gun have the new design logo on the grips and top of the slide. It is also identified as an original early run by the inscription on the right side of the slide that says Blackwater USA. The USA was taken off sometime in 2007 as well when they changed their name from Blackwater USA to Blackwater Worldwide. These original early run P226 Blackwater Special Editions were only available in 9mm with DA/SA trigger and came with 5 15 round clips. The retail price on these back in 2006 was $1100. This one is NEW - UNFIRED with everything that it came with back in 2006. The only issue whatsoever is that the night sights have lost most of their glow after 17-18 years...they still have a little glow but it is faint. Trying to give as much detailed information as I can so that people know what to look for when looking up pricing on this particular model and production run. I have added some more detailed pics in my second post to show the Original Logo's and the Blackwater USA inscription on the right side of the slide.
First "I'll take it" followed up with a PM gets it. Gun is cross listed on another site.
Price is $1100 shipped if your FFL requires it be shipped from an FFL or $1050 shipped provided your FFL will accept from a private individual. Check or Postal money order only...NO Paypal or other forms of electronic payment.
Thanks,
Gene
