New Sierra bullets

I see there is a new 105gr SMK coming out, possible rival to the 105gr Berger?

Details here

Quite a few more in their other ranges. I'm curious to see how the 105gr performs Vs the 107gr.
Yeah, Sierra has been behind the time. Several years ago I had a conversation with them about getting into all copper hunting bullets which they said they had no intentions of doing. A couple years later they bought Barnes. I guess they are waking up.
Next they need to attach the jackets to the cores in their hunting lineup. I hunted with Sierra for many years and often found the jackets under the hide.

The only thing I look at is the wound channel created by the bullet. The end goal is a large enough wound channel to quickly incapacitate. Where the jacket is or what it looks like is not relevant.
Some of the best killing bullets are Sierra TMK's and Berger hybrids, and they usually turn inside out.

I bought the 107's on the basis that so many people here rated them. Hopefully they shoot well once I get my 6GT sorted.
They started to, "Bug Hole" ( Low 2's to 3's ) for Me with about, .010 to .015 IN the Lands, a Lite,.. JAM !
The short, .104 freebore in my 6 XC, w/ StaBall 65, works well with, this bullet
Backed off, the powder charge a 1/2 grain, now getting, 2,970 fps and,.. precision !
My 105 and 108 gr Bergers, are just, sitting around !
Would love to See some, .22 Cal. Blitz Kings @ 60 or 65 grains !

107's love to be in the lands. I start with far enough in that the engraving marks are square and then work back. Many times I just leave them there they shoot so well.
