Anyway, back to the rifle. As expected it was in 6.5 Creedmoor using Hornady ELD Match ammo.
I hope he can reload to the same level of precision as the factory ammo. I have a couple rifles that are extremely accurate with factory, makes some load development(or my methods) seem silly.
It doesn't take long to rack up 4500 with glass. Most the glass I use and see now is $2000+ so that doesn't leave much for a gun under it.
Be happy and supportive of the next generation as we are all in it together.
Reloading should be a moot point with this report on the new shooter's ability with factory ammunition. Finding a supply of Hornady Match ammunition should be his goal.
Some of the new factory versions of ammunition have proven to be exceptionally accurate in my tests, especially Hornady Black. The downside is the greed driving the hoarding of everything we use for our recreation and competition.
