New Savage 10T-SR my first CM.

Been thinking about getting a 6.5cm for a while now and my son and I had been eyeing a 10T-SR that has the Accustock and Accutrigger. It was a nice looking rifle so, I went ahead and bought it. Its a Cabelas exclusive as the regular 10T has a 10 round mag versus this one has 5 round and this one has a threaded muzzle.
I got a decent deal with the $100 Rebate, my former Military discount of -5% and a $20. off coupon.
It had the things I wanted a 24" threaded barrel and a 8 twist. I will rebarrel after a while with a Shilen.
I dont have any dies yet for reloading in 6.5cm so, today I just bought a box of Win. 140gr. Match Ammo. Sighting in the scope I put on it (a Vortex 4-12x44 I had laying around) it did a .25 3 shot group but, at a 100yrds group was more like .75
Cannot wait to reload some much better ammo/brass and find out what it really likes to eat and hopefully watch those groups shrink significantly.
I think I will really enjoy shooting this caliber rifle.

A few 6.5's like the Win. match but most shoot something else better from what I've heard. If you are going to start reloading later a lot of guys buy the Prime 130 grain loaded ammo. It's very accurate in most rifles and allows you to start collecting the Norma brass it comes in. I've never shot any personally but have read a lot of positive comments on several forums. Very competitively priced too I believe.

I have been using the Prime 130 gr. Creedmoor, $26.60 a box. I am using it in a 20" barrel Tikka CTR and it gives me 2715 FPS and 5 shot groups run around 1/2 inch at 100. Their shipping is a little high and they don't have sales other than an occasional free shipping on a case. I have to admit that Hornady American Whitetail 129 gr. shoots just as good and can sometimes be bought in the $19-20 a box range. When I shoot that case up, I will start reloading.

I read that Prime gets Norma to manufacture it with their brand on it. That is possible as it is Norma brass and their match 6.5 bullet.
