New river, Az...

There is a lot of ATVs on Tonto near Phoenix, you need to get north of Sunset Point. Out by Dugas has some good spots.
In the summer just go the extra miles to get up by Flagstaff and out of the heat, Anderson Mesa is notorious for coyotes eating pronghorn.

The Tonto is beautiful country but like stated above it gets used heavy. They also run several varmint calling contests out of the valley and Payson every year making it that much tougher for success. The more remote part of the states help up your odds, it's worth the 2-4 hours of travel IMO.

Its been awhile since I hunted there but we caught the coyotes coming off the land fill just before daylight near you. Also hunted with good results on the back side of Lake Pleasant and the back way up towards Prescott from behind pleasant. Coyotes are just about everywhere its just that a lot of them been called and shot at. Some always seemed to hang up out there at the 400-600 yard mark and never come in.North of Aguila was another good area that seem to work well off of the BLM area.
