Welcome to the world of Vudoo precision rimfire shooting! Always interesting to hear from another shooter who's working with the faster twist 22RF bbls. I bought my Three-60 action almost a year ago, planned to put a Bartlein 1-9tw on it, but got impatient waiting on that blank to arrive - since I had all the other components sitting here to complete the rifle - and wound up putting a conventional 1-16tw Krieger on it. It's shooting so good with that barrel - finished at 23", and with a Pro-X tuner on it - that I kind of hate to screw with it. Naturally, the Bartlein arrived not two weeks after I'd completed the Three-60 with the Krieger... I haven't done anything with it yet; need to make the decision whether to make a switch-barrel rifle out of the 360 or put it on another, older V22. Definitely want to give it a try, especially at 200-300yds.

I like my Three-60, but unless you're using a Vudoo as a trainer for your CF competition rifles, and have 3-lug CF actions with 60* bolt lift, I don't see any real advantage. While I'm sure that there are quite a few PRS shooters who're using Vudoo or other custom full-sized 22RF actions as trainers, if I had to bet, my money's on the opinion that there are more shooters using their custom 22RF rifles on their own merit, for the pure enjoyment of shooting a 22RF informally, as well as a large number of shooters who're competing in NRL-22 & PRS-style 22RF matches than there are guys who shoot them mainly as a trainer for CF shooting. Furthermore, I'd be willing to bet that a fair number of shooters who had a rifle built on a full-size 22RF custom action as a trainer have found that they enjoyed shooting the resulting rifle so much that the amount of time they spend shooting it as a trainer is considerably less than the time they spend shooting it just for fun & in 22RF-specific matches.

My practical/tactical competition rifles are all built on Bighorn & M700 2-lug actions with 90* bolt lift, and I've shot many thousands more rounds out of my Vudoo & Rim-X 22s than I have so far out of the Three-60 and a couple of V22S 3-lug single shots. It usually takes a little time for me to adjust to the shorter bolt lift of the Three-60 when I do get the chance to shoot it in a match, and compared to shooting any of my older Gen 1 V22 repeaters, I don't see any advantage that the 3-lug action has. Not knocking the Three-60; I applaud Mike Bush & Paul Parrot at VGW for designing it. But it'd take some real careful, very scientific testing by a non-partial shooter or shooters to prove to me that there's a significant advantage to going with the 3-lug action. Yes, I know that there are some very good 3-lug 22BR actions out there, including Vudoo's own V22S - and I'm very pleased with the accuracy of both of mine. But how much of that accuracy is due purely to the 3-lug design?

My rifles range from 60,70 to 90 degrees.

The one real advantage I see with the 360 is less potential interference with the bolt and a low mounted scope.

The disadvantage I see is that 60* usually is a bit more effort to work. I'm not sure how much extra effort it is for this rifle.

I’d say almost 50% of the shooters in our open class 22 prs run 1:12’s now. If you have a hammer of a 1:16 I wouldn’t mess with anything but a second build with the 1:12 would be cool!!

Very interested to see what these 1:12 and 1:9 barrels group like at longer ranges.
Im in the midst of another rimfire build and it’s going be a 1:12 switch barrel with a 1:10 to play with as well.
What are people's thoughts on the V22 vs the V22-360?
For centerfire there is a noticeable increase in bolt lift. Enough so that some don’t like it and some don’t mind it and like the benefits of the shorter through. On the vudoo’s it’s almost unnoticeable to the point I can’t tell the difference. I almost feel the 360 is lighter which could be a fluke. So to me at that point I unless you’d rather keep the same as your centerfire (90 or 60) I’d recommend the 360.

Well I got out today to test a new tripod and practice some positional drills for our upcoming 22 prs series finale. While out there I shot a 10/11 shot group (pulled one and fired an 11 to see where it would of landed) at 100, 10 shot at 160 and 10 shot at 225. This gun is working great!! I shot 7 first at 225 went down for a group measure and went back and finished off the last 3. It was looking good and didn’t want a flyer as the wind was 8mph lol. Didn’t mess it up too bad
