My wife Barbara and I are about to leave Las vegas and head to Phoenix to spend Christmas with two of her sisters and then we head home on Monday. Then I may be able to pick up my new target rifle! The gunsmith should be close to getting it done. Unfortunately, I will have full knee replacement on January 3rd, so my shooting days are going to be postponed a couple of months.
What I am getting is a 6br in a chrome moly John Benjamin Palma tapered 29 inch barrel and a brand new M 700 receiver and a Dave Kiff bolt.
I found a nearly new 40X stock at Numrich Arms for $57 delivered and Terry Wright, the gunsmith is going to pillar bed the stock for the rifle at least as a temporary stock. I already have the RPA sights, and this should be a shooter. I would LOVE to shoot in Phoenix in April for a prone match, if I could only convince my wife to make the trip with me.
