New Full-Length Front/Rear combo Rest

Looks to be a fancier copy of the Randolph rest. If it works as well as the Randolph, should be a keeper for the knob turners.
There is a pretty detailed video on YouTube.

I watched the video earlier today then was looking for his site and saw your thread. I been following Jeff for years. This looks to be a nice setup. One day I’m gonna own one of his 1000 yard muzzleloaders . Thanks for sharing.

Interesting, looks like the design is to replicate an OPR but I have to question why have the front top pivot versus the rear. the front of the stock has the most contact and would have the most stability by now having the front pivot you lose some of that stability also the rear now has more chance of binding.
having the rear follow the front makes more sense. IMO from years of using an OPR

I just bought this rest. It is going to be a great one. I have had 6 other Randolph rests. Jeff’s rest by far is much smoother in my experience’s. Not that it matters it also has more height adjustment. Randolph is a nice rest however! Everything is more expensive.

I went to the website before I watched the video. That’s when I made my post here. After watching the video I think this is a good rest, especially if you need both a one piece and a two piece. The only thing I can find fault with is the rear. I don’t think a bag on a one piece is the answer.

Mark,
Are you aware as to whether this rest will accept Arnold, PQP, and Randolph tops?

I will email Jeff to see if a randolph top will fit. On my randolph I had a greenlaw top on it. I drilled and tapped the mount on the randolph rest to accept the greenlaw top.
The reason I ask, is that I haven’t used a front bag for a long time. I’m using a roller top and would like to continue using it.

I’m not sure what my Randolph top is I’ll have to dig it out and see if I can figure it out

Fulgham style tops are used on a lot of rests. Arnold, Randolph, PQP, later model Pappas, etc. Ken Fulgham who designed the Randolph front rest (mostly a copy of the Lamon Loggins rest) designed the removable top. The rest in question here has the tension screws on the base of the top like a Fulgham top, but that doesn't mean a Fulgham will work. I saw this rest on another board, also posted by someone else who didn't have any 'affiliation', but was quite high on the rest.

Personally, I think the rest may be a 'jack of all trades', but probably not a master of them in the end. Glitzy and all prettied up, but IMO based on experience, not very well thought out design. As the guy in the video said, he's telling us the truth about rests......as HE sees it. Guess I am doing the same, but I'm an end user, not a guy wanting to sell rests.

I will take my top off my rest and take pictures for you guys if that will help?
For me, a picture won’t help. I saw the mount in the video, but is it the same as the above mentioned tops. Do you have any of the Fulghum style tops? Thanks for your help.

I don’t. Jeff emailed me back and said yes a randolph top will fit on his rest. I’m not sure on the arnold or pqp tops. I didn’t ask him about them.

Here’s some pics of my Randolph hope it helps
