New Remington 700 SPS...

Just got my Remington 700 SPS THREADED BARREL 223 20IN SYN

Put a Timney 2-STAGE CALVIN ELITE REMINGTON MODEL 700 (RIGHT HAND - BLACK TRIGGER 532CE, 8 OUNCE, 1 LB)

Federal American Eagle 223 Remington Ammo 50 Grain Tipped Varmint

SIGHTRON SIIISS10-50X60LR MOA,SIII 30MM RIFLESCOPE 25003

Effin-A Compensator MKII

Wind was 10 to 12 mph.

Those rifles are notorious for having sloppy firing pin holes that allow excessive primer flow. It makes it look like you have excessive pressure on the primers, but such is not the case. I ended up bushing my firing pin and now the primers look great and are all dimpled perfectly centered. If you only shoot factory ammo, it won't be a big deal, but if you start to reload, it may cause some head scratching.
 
I just purchased one of these as well. I'm not looking for one hole groups from mine, as I already have guns that will do that, but the hope is to have some cheap fun with 55FMJ and 68/69 grain bullets.

The progress will be posted once I get some loads worked up for it.
