Treat yourself and just do it hahaAs I was sitting in my room increasing my covid round count by 24, I was looking at the corner and wall thinking about options of a new bench work station.
I like the design of this. Simple and sturdy.
Hmmm, just might add some felt on the bottom of the mounts. Thanks for the tip!Very nice.
You have such a nice surface now, you may want to think about adding a pad between the accessories mounting plate and the bench top to prevent scratching the surface if you slide a press down. Some small thin felt pads between the two surfaces place on the bottom of the top pad would work.
I like the way you spaced the T slots so that you could insert a T nut without having to run it the full length of the bench.
Nicely thought out.
Go ahead man. I used polyurethane to seal it, its very slick. Someone else here also suggested using felt on the bottom side of the mounts to avoid scratches from sliding and so on.I like it. Very well thought out. Hope you don’t mind if a use a few of your ideas. Just thinking out loud......did you ever think about using polyurethane to protect the working surfaces? I’m not sure it would work. The Army used polyurethane on their floors in the military housing. It was absolutely scratch proof. I’m not picking, I’m just thinking. When I do this I just want to do it once. Beautiful!!!

That’s a great tip on the angle iron under the front edge!Very nice, your frame work is like mine, very solid set up. For the top I used double 3/4 plywood glued and screwed, covered with indoor outdoor carpet, under front edge runs angle iron to bolt presses to and c clamp barrel vice to. Not as pretty as your butcher block but solid as a rock.
