New Rear Bag

So I have a new stock that has a 1/2" flat on the bottom of the butt stock and need to order a new rear bag.
It is a Kelblys KTS FTR stock and this rifle will be used off the bench 90% and 10% prone with a Seb JoyPod.
Question is should I get a flat top bag or one that has a angled drop on the bag???
Looking at Protektor Dr. bag.

Match the angle on the stock. If theres drop get an angle bag, if there is no drop get a flat top. I do not like those long ear on the DR. They limit where you can position the bag as well as hit the grip area in recoil.

I use a Dr. bag, but I shoot prone 99.99% of the time and the bottom of my stock is flat. If I had an angled stock I would do as Alex said. I have an angled bag but just doesn't work well for flat stocks.

If I'm not mistaken the Kelbly's KTS has a butt hook and and a slight angle flat piece at the rear. I have both flat and angled DR bags. I use both. I believe the slightly angled version would work best with the KTS. I would recommend paying a bit extra for heavy sand and add the handle. You'll be glad you did. I also got both mine with the super slick ears. Took a week or so and was around $180 delivered if I remember correctly

you're dead on. I had my DR bag with the heavy sand, handle and slick silver stuff and that is the only way to go. I had bought another bag without the extras and regreted it later.

This discussion has surfaced before. I can't say enough enough about Protekror. After I purchased my new front rest, I found myself still struggling staying on target after each shot. Another shooter that I highly respect shot my rig and commented that he didn't know how I shot as well as I did using the rear bag I had. He let me use his Protektor DR and man oh man what a difference. They make two types, one for FTR and one for f-Open and they will make it to your specs. Mine ran me around $160. Buy once cry once..... I purchased the Super Slick Silver Bunny Ears - 1 1/4" Tall ( +$10.00 ). Have them fill it with heavy sand. They can do a better job than you and it's only $16.00. I asked for Extremely firm and love it. The leather will stretch over time but stay firm. Measure the width of the bottom of your butt stock. They will make it to fit your rifle. The only other option I wish I had bought is the carrying handle....2 cents.
