New range - ideas needed

There is a brand new range near me home - Very excited!!!

I shot XTC and long range for many years, but without a place to shoot and life... I have been out of it for awhile.

I am looking for ideas on competitions that I can propose for the range - limited to 300 yards and static targets. Not big on benchrest. Just looking for something to get folks involved and interested in competitive shooting. Maybe Sporter rifle?

Central Jersey, the largest local club around these parts, has a 300yd range as their longest. They shoot XTC (service & match rifle) with the standard 200yd & 300yd targets and a reduced 600yd slow-prone target. Very popular match and is unusual when there are fewer than 40 competitors. Their state championship is often 100, or more.

Another local 300yd club shoots a Frozen Nutz match over the winter. Pretty much F-Open rules with a scope and match rifle rules with a sling and iron sights. Both on an appropriately reduced long-range target (MR-52 & MR-63).

I am hoping to warm up the shooters with some fun shoots the move into more traditional matches.

The range has been built in phases - the second phase is about to start construction which moves the max range to 500yds. I have pleaded to take it to 600 but so far no luck...
