New on this forum, some questions please

Just signed in last night for the first time, and by the first look there's some good info here, thanks.

A couple questions:

When I click any thing along the right column classified, it jumps to amazon.com, am I missing something?

Using my droid to browse, the right column selects half way into the posts, making scrolling difficult. Is there a way to turn off the right column?

Will I always have to type the verification codes and acronym codes when I want to post or is there a way to shut off this annoyance?

The site is organized with a right table, and will work fine with a minimum site width of 900 or more pixels.

What is probably happening is that your Droid is maxing out" at about 750 pix wide which is where the Amazon sponsor button is located.

We're sorry, but this is no "mobile friendly" version of the forum at this time. Perhaps in the future that might be possible if we switch Forum software -- but that is $3K plus proposition.

In the meantime, I suggest you rotate your Droid to landscape mode and try accessing the forum with max horizontal pixels.

The LOP and MOA verification questions are a ONE-Time thing that is required only during original member registration. We implemented this because we got a bunch of spammer registrations in September. The questions quickly filtered out all non-shooters..

It looks like your membership has been validated. I have never heard of this issue before. Are you still trying to access through the Droid? Are you on a public WiFi network. I don't understand... once you log in with name and password you shouldn't have to do anything else to post. It may be Monday before I can get an answer to this.

I just logged on from my PC, still getting the verification letters & codes at the top of my reply just above the subject line. Does everyone have to do this whenever they post?

I have the Droid. If I click on something in the right hand column it will go to Amzon also! At this point If I notcie something in the right hand column of the Classified ad I just go to the main form scroll down to what classified form that it should be listed in and bring it up that way. The right hand classified ad is the only thing I have problems with as far as using my Droid. I have never had to use a verification code to post from my Droid tho. That one is new to me?

What do you mean verification letters& codes? I don't ever remember having to do that, even when I first joined.
I also don't have problems with my droid, I post on here 20% of the time on my lunches and brakes @ work. I have seen what your talking about, just reduce the size of your picture on the phone click what you want to read, when it loads resize to where you can read it, takes just a second to do, I just do it instinctively now. Hope this helps some.

Bozo699, the zoom and resize is fine, but. Still a huge pain in the ##s to click the reply and quote buttons without being pitched off to amazon. Don't get me wrong I love amazon for lots of stuff...

While I am @ work tonight I will try to duplicate your problems on my motorola droid and try to come up with a answer for you, although the plant hasn't run since Christmas and I might actually have to do my job and won't have time

I just created a new thread on the gun smithing section and the verifications went away, who knows what changed but I'll take it
