There has been a lot of chatter, but it is finally official! 3 options available!

NX8 will be shipping THIS MONTH and the ATACR version hopefully in February

Yea, glass prices from a lot of the companies out there has gone beyond insane.

I can't see that kind of $$ for glass that isn't used for long range (beyond 600) and a high level of precision. These are gas gun scopes. Maybe the 3 gun guys will eat them up like skittles, but I'm predicting we have another version of the Beast. Then again Vortex did just announce their new updated version and it's still a 1-6x so maybe they will sell.

(I did just replace an NXS with a Golden Eagle this week on one of my F-TR rigs.)

One of the reasons the prices keep going up is because we(as a whole) just keep dishing out the money for them.

$1700 is actually quite reasonable for a top name 1-8x scope. part of the reason that prices go up is because technology advances and is more expensive. Making a 8x zoom ration scope is far more difficult than making a 4x zoom ration scope. I have another brand 1-8 scope on one of my AR15's that cost $1000. It is a fantastic scope and was worth every penny I spent on it. Would I save and buy a night force NX8? You bet.

If I needed a 1-8x scope I'm sure I would spend 1K+

My problem is that I don't need a 1-8x high end scope, but I want one !!!

Guys,

Just wanted to update everyone since the original promised delivery on the NX8 scopes has passed - Looks like they will not likely be shipping until the week of the 8th. I am not sure of the reason for the delay but I would have to imagine it is due to them concentrating on making them RIGHT instead of FAST
