Hi all, new member from western Washington. I recently put together a 22 creedmoor that shoots 90gr bergers pretty good and took my neighbor and his 14 year old shooting yesterday and saw they had a 600 yard competition in October. Would be fun to give it a try and let my neighbors give it a go. Problem is hard to find bergers. Was thinking about 88gr Hornady but hear they might come apart if I push them to fast. I have a 5r 7 twist and looking for a suggested speed with that combination?

Hi! Welcome to the forum! Buy a hundred and try them. Your 5R rifling may be easier in the jackets and shoot just fine.

No help here with that combination, but welcome to the forum. I’m sure someone will chime in with the experience you seek.
Heck, if you miss, you can just always blame the bullet for not holding together and it “blew up” right before the target.
