Well, what a week it has been at the Shot Show. I started out at the booth with the Kelblys. They brought out the new scopes from MARCH. And, boy did they change the
world of scopes. They had so many scope manufacturers hanging out at their booth,
someone might have thought it was just a scope convention in a 10x10 booth. Swarovski engineers spent three days there, trying to figure out how the MARCH could make these scopes.
Next year, they will need a booth twice the size.
I asked the Deon Engineers last year at the Super Shoot if they could build a scope 36x55 EP power ZOOM and I received one several months ago. I have been testing it and I thought I died and went to scope heaven. They brought it to the show. This is the only zoom scope ever made that the cross hair does not move at all. They also brought a 2.5x25 variable power and a 1x10 variable power for tactical, target and hunting, with or without an illuminated reticle. Once word of these scopes hit the tactical area they had more military and law enforcement people from the US and other countries then you could imagine. All the optical engineers were saying that no one has ever made a 10 times the power scope like this. The highest ever made was a 6 times the power,10x60). They said that they have been asking all scope manufactures for years to build this and, all the manufacturers said it could not be done. They also said that the MARCH scopes has the highest quality optics, they have ever seen.
MARCH now has a 10x60 variable with tactical reticle and, a 5x32 variable with tactical
illuminated reticules. They also have a 5x32 variable power and, 10x60 variable power for indoors.
Now a benchrest shooter long or short range can say they have the perfect scope.
You can change from 55 power to 36 power in the middle of your group, if you don’t like the mirage and know that your impact will not change. Pricing information will be available only through Kelbly’s.
As far as the 5 year warranty you guys keep whining about, it is Japanese law that anything they build entirely in Japan can only be warranted for 5 years. You can buy the scopes made in China, if you want that long warranty.
Thank you MARCH scopes, Turk and the Kelbly’s for bringing the future to the present. I will be talking about the gun powder on a separate post.
