New LR Scope -- Delta Stryker 5-50X

I have been testing the Gen. III Delta Stryker 5x-50x riflescope. The one I have is second focal plane, MOA/MOA with 1/8th MOA clicks. The reticle is exactly what I need for 600 yard competition with a 1/10th MOA floating dot and 1 MOA hash marks for both vertical and horizontal crosshairs. It features locking turrets, zero stop and superb Japanese ED glass. The generation III scope incorporated features that customers asked for that were not on the original models. Also, the price is very reasonable in today's market. If you are needing (or wanting) a new scope, take a look at the Stryker. Good shooting...James

Has the warranty gotten any better? A friend of mine purchased one and had an issue with it. He had a very hard time getting the issue fixed under warranty, if he ever did. I know that he wasn’t happy with his efforts towards getting the problem fixed. I’ll have to ask him if he ever got the scope fixed.

May I ask, if you know, which US dealer your friend purchased from? It wasn't me and there's only two more in the US, I've purchased from both of them as a retail customer. I know one of them in passing, not well, but he doesn't strike me as someone to stiff-arm a customer. If the 'scope was a grey import that may be another matter. I have also come know the owner of Delta quite well. If I didn't think he was a straight-up guy, I wouldn't be importing from him.
Now...if your friend tried to ship his 'scope to Poland himself he probably found out that most Fedex and UPS store employees are pitifully ignorant of how to ship overseas. One delightful lady once told me quite triumphantly that Hong Kong was in Japan and insisted I had to fill in more forms (it isn't and I didn't). I can imagine that could have been a trial for someone who doesn't know the ins and outs.

Sorry for the delay. My friend Ongo “Adam” Gablogian purchased the scope about 3 years ago from a dealer “EGW”

It’s a Delta Stryker 5-50x. I can’t remember right off if it’s MOA or MIL. I’m waiting for him to return my text with that info. I know I first when he purchased it that he was very happy with it and I was going to purchase one also. After about 3 months or so he had an issue with the turrets or something that made the scope unusable. Needless to say I didn’t buy one after he had told me that the warranty wouldn’t cover the issue.

OK so that was EdGun West. I've purchased from them as a retail customer but don't know anyone there. I'd advise contacting Delta Optical directly. The best way is probably to msg them via their FB page at https://www.facebook.com/DeltaOptical.EU

FYI, this is from the Delta website. Pls. note the contact us hyperlink at the end of the paste is live and clickable so you can fwd it to your friend.

Ok I’ll pass it on. Doesn’t seem like he’s going to get anything resolved locally

@jamesdmock

Thank you for these posts. It helps those of us who are not 20 years and $50,000 deep into optics. I just started moving upmarket in optics, and have no access to anything other than Nightforce and Vortex. (Just a few years ago, $600 was a lot for a scope for me. Most my purchases were sales under $400.) It helps to see some objective measurements, not some YouTube video that was likely sponsored.

FWIW, I just picked up the Tenmile 5-50 in MRAD. I much prefer the Trijicon reticle, though the Delta was my second choice. Still waiting on a new base to mount it, but I think it will be a great all around scope for me.

I have the Stryker with the Moa reticle...purchased from SW Optics. Very happy with it and excellent customer service from Woofie @ SW Optics. He called me after I ordered the scope and then texted later about shipping and lens caps etc.
Glass is on par with a NF Comp....the reticle with a floating dot and 1 moa hashmarks is perfect for F class. The locking turrets with zero stop can be zeroed without tools. I like it a lot!

At one point was debating between the Ten mile and the Delta Stryker 5-50. Decided on the Sightron SIII 10-50 ED model. My only wish was that Sightron had a 5-50. Much more versatile magnification

I have the same dilemma. For now I am also leaning towards the sightron.

Aren't these the same as the Trijicons in that form factor? If so, I'd go with their lifetime warranty and a U.S. company. I owned the Trijicon version of this scope and sold it here with rings for $1600. From my viewpoint the turrets were less bulky. The latest Trijicon version is called the Tenmile.

After purchasing the Trijicon Ten Mile in MOA I'm kinda wishing that I would have purchased the MIL just for the floating dot center difference. I like the scope in itself just thinking that now I'm so used to the Sightron's floating dot that I'm spoiled.
