I just got back from SA a few days ago. My PH was telling me that 2 years ago, his wife was bitten by a cobra when she sat down on the toilet in the middle of the night. OUTCH!

Has to be one of my biggest fears, sitting down for your early morning business with a black mamba in the toilet, my dad doesn't even sleep with a window open because his scared a boomslang will climb in... Luckily its not a very common occurrence over here I hear more about snakes in the toilet stories from Aus but I have found a Rinkhals in a shower before.

Friend of mine woke up one night on a hunting trip with a snake in his bed, "apparently it was as black mamba" and he shot everything to sh$t in the room but the snake was never found

The first night I was there in camp, I got into the bed under the blankets and felt something warm touching me. I launched myself out of the bed almost hitting the ceiling!! After regaining composure, I pulled the covers back slowly looking for the snake or tarantula only to find that the staff had placed a hot water bottle in the bed because it was chilly at night. LOL

When will we see a video of one of these being used to repel porch pirates? I like the glitter bomb but this has more of a punishment tone to it and the glitter bomb is just a spectacle.

Its also illegal to steal off of peoples porches, but nobody prosecutes that either. As the left refuses to do any thing about crime, and continues to defund the police you will see more and more of this. One of our past presidents once said "This is a country of laws." What he didn't say is we only use them when it is someone we don't like. I suspect respect for the rule of law will return when the powers that be use them to prosecute the Bidens as well as Donald Trump. I don't even think that this is a booby trap, It requires that the shooter fire it, it will not shoot without human input.

Man, south Africa is such a different world than we all live in. I'm used to North American dangers. Meth heads, bears, and crippling ice and snow. I think I'll stick to the dangers I know.

My next door neighbor had a man come up in his yard and start beating on his door. Jerry opened the door and the guy threw a knife at him and Jerry called the police, They shouted at each other for a few minutes and Jerry retrieves his handgun and follows this guy in his truck. The police meet the guy down the street and have to narcam him, because he is so high on heroin. My yard has a fence and gates that were shut that day, it may have been why he went next door. He thought he was visting his brother in Lake Worth, a 35 minute drive from here. Several of my neighbors have mentioned that he was lucky he didn't come to my house. What do they mean by that?

Looks quite tame for SA. The security guards there for bank pick ups are tooled up and look very alert. Great country, but I never really relaxed there. Whoever is selling all the razor wire must be very rich by now! Lots of South Africans in the UK now, which is how I met my wife. Ridgebacks are great, best dog I've ever had and like a shadow, I think my wife is jealous!

Nah its chill over here you just need to know where NOT to go in the cities, in the smaller rural towns everyone carries a concealed pistol so don't try and make a tiktok video of robbing/high jacking someone

A number of my in-laws have been robbed at gunpoint, definitely not chill If I thought it was ok we'd be there in a shot, no pun intended, it's a beautiful country. I talk to expats here all the time, crime is the number one reason they left.
