New lapua 7mm scenar

Hey guys just thought id let everybody know the new 180gr and 150gr 7mm scenar bullets are in stock at grafs and sons. Maybe this is old news but its not to me. I just ordered a few hundred to try.


Anybody tried these out yet? Anybody see any bc info at all?

Just a quick update here on these bullets. I just recieved 500 in the mail today. First impression is they just scream quality. Cant quite put my finger on why but they are nice nonetheless. This is my first time using scenars of any kind. I was suprised that every bullet has the lapua shield with the "L" in it on the base. Im sure it helps in flight. I got to comparing them to my 180 hybrids a little bit. First off they are about .060 shorter in length. Even though they are shorter upon checking seating depth I was suprised to see that the boattail junction is just below the neck shoulder junction of my case. (284 shehane). The 180 hybrids sit just above the dread donut in my chamber. I will get to accuracy testing and load workup asap.

So not sure if anyone cares but there you have it.

Thanks for the update. Lapua sure does a great job on QC. Curious to what the BC is on those 180's. Please post your results with those 180 Scenars. Good luck!

I am also curious about the BC. all that I have ever read about these say that they shoot really well.

I put together a very rough, in the ballpark, kind of check on the 7mm 180gr Scenar-L. It's on the Reloading Forum: Lapua Scenar-L vs Berger Hybrids 7mm 180gr
