New IOR Valdada Scope?

They are about a month behind their original forecast for release, which was first week of March. Last I knew about a week ago, they still had not shipped any out. WD

Update: they HAVE shipped some of them out. WD

There you go, Travis--- always thinking ahead! Kyle Schultz and I are playing chicken to see which of us will give in and try one first. Lol. Like Doc Martin says --- he can resist anything but temptation!! I talked to Val last week and he seemed very impressed with them--- said they had been in the works for 3 yrs and it appeared to be worth the wait. He said that the main design engineer was very impressed with the final product and said that they actually came in a little under( didn't say how much) of the spec weight of 21 ozs. They may turn out to be quite a hot seller, though they are quite a bit pricier than the old 36x. See y'all at Mikes

Mine came in the mail on Friday. So I put it on my benchrest rifle and went to the range on Saturday. Had it sighted in dead on at 100yds in 3 shots. It seems to track perfectly with clicks that you can hear AND feel. The side focus is sensitive and easily focused. And once you're focused.... WOW, talk about clear and sharp. I have a 36x IOR that I like a lot and this 40 seems every bit and maybe slightly more clear. I got the Floating dot reticle which is the same reticle I have on the 36x.

I took that rifle and scope combination to a 100yd Group match on Sunday, and got 3rd place. I'm not easy to please when it comes to optics, but I'm very happy with the 40x45 Valdada. WD

The 40x45's have arrived and are ready to ship. All 3 cross hairs are available at this time. Fine cross hair (6 left), Fine cross hair with dot and Fine cross hair with floating dot are more plentiful. PM for Accurate Shooter discount.

I had the fixed 36X at one time. It was a good scope with good glass. I sold it because I prefer a variable scope for my game but if you like fixed power scopes they are nice.

PM incoming. Do you know if they will be offering the MP-8 reticle?
