New guy needs help

Just bought a new savage model 12 dual port 6br with a 1 in 8 twist.I want to shoot a 105 grn bullet. I've got a burris black diamond 8-32x50 I want to use. I have no dies yet.What do I need?

You'll need the following;

1. Press,RCBS)- I use a Harbor hand press to use with Wilson Dies.
2. Full Length Die,Redding)
3. Neck Die,Redding)-I use Wilson Neck Die
4. Seater Die,Redding)-I use Wilson Seater Die
5. Shell holder,RCBS)
6. Powder-Varget
7. Primers-CCI 450
8. Bullets-I like the 105grn A-Max's and 105grn Scenars

Here is the load my friend uses for his Savage 6BR with a 1-8 twist;

1. 30.3grns Varget
2. CCI 450 Primers
3. 105grn A-Max
4. Lapua Brass

This is a very accurate load out of his rifle. He shoots consistent groups in the .3's at 100 yards. I hope this helps.

30.0+ Reloder 15 and Berger 105s or 108s is also a good recipe. Try the 105s .010-.015' in the lands.

Forster makes an excellent full-length die,cheaper than Redding) and Forster will hone it to the neck tension you want for another $10 plus s/h.

If you go with the Wilson seater I recommend the stainless version with micrometer top. Excellent set-up.
