Man they sure do purdy work! I would have to leave that on the dining room table as a centerpiece!

When my buddy i shoot with saw it he said i need to just put it on the mantle and look but don't touch it...... ::) ;D

Thanks for the replies everyone, i'm well satisfied with it........ ;) 8)

Congrats ! I've been wanting one of Ray's stocks for a while now. Gonna put my order in next month and I think I just decided on a stock pattern. That royal camo sure is purdy ! 8)

Dont you shoot at Palo Alto?

Yes i sure do. How bout you?

I shot the match last month and will be there again this time. I was the new guy so i didn't say much. I'll say hi next time, you should be easy to spot with that rig, looks good man.

Great looking rig!!!!

I built a similar rig on a Savage target action, Shilen 30" barrel, Nightforce BR scope, and Gen 3 Sinclair bi pod. I couldn't have been happier with it until I checked it's weight. She weighed in at 19.4 lbs!!!!! Hopefully yours weighs in ok. I ended up dumping the BR scope for a Sightron, and went with a different bi pod. She now weighs in at 18 lbs. even.

Thanks, I will still be under weight even with a Phoenix bipod. I made sure of that when i was putting the parts together for the build. Thats why I went with a Panda action as opposed to a BAT. I have a BAT on my older gun and love it but the stock is lighter and barrel is only 28 inch so i easily made weight with that one.

I will be there at the next match the 1st weekend in August but i won't be shooting this gun, i wont have the load ready as I can't shoot this weekend and the match is the following weekend. I will be shooting my old rig. Ask Rick the match director to point me out that way we can meet, my name is Jade Delcambre.

Ray Bowman of Precision Rifle and Tool does build a nice looking and shooting rifle. I was wondering what the Camo would look like with clear on it.

I am always pushing Ray for more acuracy and performance and he delivers. Best of luck with yours.

I myself has a few that he has built for me. Mine are on the Savage action but use the Brux barrels as well. In fact the first one he built is what I used to win the FTR Nationals last year with 3200 round on the barrel. Taking it back to Raton again.

Your rifle looks awesome.

That is a really nice looking rifle Jade. I considered that stock pattern for my latest one that Ray built for me, but decided to go with the Green/Green/Black.

300 WSM
Barnard P Action
Nightforce 12-42 BR scope
Brux barrel 31" finished
LowBoy F/Open stock

Playing around this weekend at 700 yards it drilled a 2" 5 shot group in the pouring rain.

Ray built another one for me earlier this year. It's the third one down (the red one) that shot a 150-22x at 300 yards. I've never had one of Ray's rifles that just does not flat out hammer.

Hey Down South! I have a stock just like your BUT it is in that Blue color. I thought I was buying the most beautiful stock I had laid eyes on TIL I SAW YOURS! WOW!! That, my friend, is one gorgeous stock! If it shoots half as good as it looks you ought to be setting national records left and right!! Great Gun!!

That's a great looking rifle, Jade! I bet it will shoot even better than it looks. However, unless you're simply going to keep it over the mantle and gaze at it fondly from time to time, you might as well put a couple scratches on it and get it over with right away ;). Are you coming to Raton next month?

Thanks man, i really like it and maybe i will take your advise and just scratch it now.......NOT.......lol.......I sure wish i could make that Raton trip but work gets in the way, maybe one day i can get out there and meet you guys.......Good luck out there!

Thanks Jim, good luck at Raton!......My older rig has 2500+ rounds on it at the moment and its shooting just as good as when it was new. I shot my best FTR score yet last month with it. Just playing around breaking the barrel in and starting load work with the new rifle from Ray showed me that its gonna be a shooter when i get it really dialed in, it shot well no matter what i ran through it.
