As many have noticed, the new forum is well... new. There are a lot of changes, though we've tried to retain a familiar-ish look.

Some things are not working right away - some because they are yet-to-be-fixed and some because they are not particularly high on the priority list right now.

Feel free to discuss changes, etc... all you like, but I'm not taking requests. Be aware that we will be working for the next few days to bring in a few updates. This was a major effort and we decided that in the interest of "just getting it done", that we would de-prioritize some things.

The like button is a welcome addition.

Since this forum is not over run with libs, you can probably get away with not having a "You're an Idiot" button. However, none of the different forums that I participate in have a dislike button. They've done away with them.

Will the classified bar that was on the right of the old website put onto the new website? It was a great way to check new post quick .

The classifieds is still there at the right. On Tablet Portrait or Mobile phone, it will appear BELOW the threads. We are still working a bit on the Classifieds threads to make them more readable.

AVATARs:

In the near future, we will allow registered, contributing users to upload an Avatar (personal photo) for their profile. Currently, while we work out bugs in the database, we have this feature disabled. Pushing out all those thousands of photos puts more strain on the server initially.

Hey. I am glad you guys are back. I had a problem getting re established as a member. I logged in using my username and password but after many unsuccessful attempts I logged in as a new account, using my exact former username and password. All is well except now I am listed as a new member as of today. All pertinent info on me is gone: feedback, posts, contributor, etc. With the changes taking place at this time within your system I can understand glitches that may occur. Should you find time, sometime, to look into this,, I would appreciate it. Thank you for this forum.

Terry, your user account is/was "260Ravage" (note that there is no space between 260 and Ravage). Try logging in to that account.

Opposing colors on the reply box would help some off these old tired eyes..lol.. This isn't a suggestion because my eyes work fine, slowly warming up to the changes.. I find it hard to follow posts now ..

First, let me say kudos to you guys for taking this on...

I make software for a living and know that advancing things is a necessary evil (time marches on), but users get pretty crispy when you do so. I know full well your pain.

With that said, will there, in the future, be any ability for users to customize things? There are a few things about the new forum that are maddening (to me) but I can see how y'all might not want to make a global change.

Any way to make the "go to first unread" button to the left of the thread title larger on tablets? It's hard to hit with your finger.
