The wife said she wanted to start shooting F-Class, she's relatively new to shooting rifles so I'm trying my best to coach and all. I decided I wanted to get her a rifle that wouldn't recoil much yet be competitive at 600 yards to get maximum enjoyment. Cost was an issue at first so I thought I'd just throw a barrel and upper receiver together with a scope that we could switch back and forth between my high power rifle's lower, but you know how it goes, I had a spare stripped lower laying around though and one thing led to another and now there's a complete rifle sitting here. Total build cost with scope and all was around $1100.
DPMS 24" 1:8"; YHM upper; SI Defense lower; Rock River 2-stage trigger; Choat stock; Wilson combat charging handle latch; Model 1 tube; JP sling swivels; Burris Sig. Zee rings; Nikon 6-18 Buckmaster; Rock River BCG; DPMS LPK & gas tube.
It seems to shoot, I've only sighted it in and brought her out to the range once with it. I put together some 75 AMaxes at 3015 FPS jammed .005", they're looking promising so far. This is the best group she did that day at 200 yards.
