I was mounting a new scope on my 22 rimfire BR rifle a couple of days back, NightForce 42 x 40 and Harrells offset rings. Given that the Turbo receiver is round with no machined flat surfaces to indicate off of in setting up the scope I discovered the slot in which the cocking piece (?) of the bolt rides in and decided to somehow use it as my datum point. As is always the case, I came up with a few grandiose ideas which I quickly dismissed. Here are a few pics of my simple doodad to lay my Starrett level on. It is held in place with a socket head screw that uses the hole for the rear action screw. The two button head screws hold the level in place so it cant slide off. Leveling the gun was a snap in my one piece rest. I hung a plumb bob out in my yard and lined the vertical cross hair with it. Done deal.
