New Cut-Rifled Barrel -- Best Break-in?

I just put a new Krieger 6BRA barrel on. Cleaned and used a bit of Iosso in the throat. 1st shot no copper, cleaned. Second shot lots of copper, cleaned. Third shot lots of copper cleaned. Four shot no copper cleaned. Fith shot no copper, cleaned. Since then I have shot 9 three shot groups with no copper. Good to go. Now another barrel 2 years ago I could not get the copper to stop, it was also Krieger . I was frustrated and mad. I shot 25 straight shots with out cleaning then cleaned it, there was a bit of copper. From that point on no copper and it was a really good barrel. So just as the targets will tell you what your barrel wants, your barrel will let you know when the copped quits. No fancy theroys, procedures, graphs, electronics devices needed. I do believe sustained shooting over abandoned up barrel is costly, both performance wise and longevity.
