Roy Long and Sam Moore came over Sunday evening to the DOME. After Roy shot his 6.5 Creedmore to 800 and Sam shot his 270 WSM to 600 I wanted to give them a first time Cheytac Experience.
I put a March 8 - 80x on the Stiller TAC 408 actioned rifle and I took bore sighted the scope. Dialed in the scope and took first shot. On paper. I took second shot and Roy said one hole. I could not believe it but I looked through the scope and it was true. I took my third shot and the guys just oooed and awed. All three went through the same hole.
Now, it is getting dark but I wanted them to shoot the Cheytac. I put the gator lights on the target and Sam took a shot. Next Roy took his shot. He said ONE HOLE. His shot had went through the same hole Sam's shot did.
Well, the guys are wanting to come back in the daylight now for a 2000 yard pop

Sam is holding their two shot group on the right. (the #3 was a target #)

Another BEST OF TIMES at the DOME

Pretty good shooting, and a pretty fine example of a late 40s???? GMC or is it early50s????

I had a 47 Chevy once in that body style but can't remember when they went to the newer body.

1954 GMC Mom and Dad bought brand new Christmas 1953. I have the original bill of sale and owners manual. 39,000 miles on it. Frame off restoration in 2009, ten years ago. The truck was invited to Keeneland Race Track in Lexington, Ky for there once a year car show. One of 8 trucks invited to the show.

I couldn't remember the year they switched. Nice old pickup, mine was a 47 but it was a ton and a half, had a JD 110 Chuckwagon feeder box on it. It fed a LOT of calves for a lot of years then we upgraded to some newer feedtrucks but kept the old 47 around for years as a backup. It was more reliable than any of the modern feedtrucks we had in the 70's 80's and early 90's

Sorry to sidetrack the thread but had to ask about your GMC
