New build

Im thinking about building a 6 or 6.5mm 600-1000 yrd gun on custom components.I haven't deciced which cartidge yet.
My question is for the gunsmiths,
what is your goto action & barrel combo that results in
moa or better results? And why.
I have only shot short range benchrest but have 3 1000yd ranges a couple hours away i plan on visiting as a learning spectator.
I know lots of variables are present and im thinking kreiger or bartlen and kelbys atlas or pierce combos. Budget is around $1500 -1700 for barreled action.
Thanks for your time.
Chris

Is that your budget for components? Like short range br youll be needing the same components for long range just bigger
Thanks for the reply DS.
Thats the budget for the action and chambered barrel.
What do you mean bigger? Like17# compaired to 10.5#?

I guess what im asking if i commissioned a gunsmith to build a barreled action with that budget which components would they pick? their choice. Might as well add short action caliber.

Im trying not to make this into "what to buy" thread, just opinions of the smiths here that would feel 100% confident in building without restrictions other than a limited budget.

thanks again.

So many good options out there. Any of the big names with a good smith will put you where you are looking to be.

Kelbly, Borden, BAT, Surgeon, Stiller
Kreiger, Brux, bartlein, Lilja, Hart

Personally I wouldn't leave it up to your Smith unless you really like something they have on stock. It is a big investment and there is no reason not to make the decision yourself. Its your money so get exactly what YOU want even of it just comes down to you like the looks of one better then the other.

Thanks Nick..
Although i only live an hour or so from kelbys i would like to hear from the other smiths and their opinions.
Thanks

Cant go wrong with kelblys. I meant the barrels and actions will be bigger like say a bat m or mb to support a 30” barrel rather than a S that supports a 20” lv taper.

The 1000yd ranges in question are they in wva if they are I can help get you started you can make a choice of the barrel an action I can take care of the rest for you .

The ranges are in ohio, thundervalley, and rayners.
Where are the wva ranges?
I've been happy with kelbys work in the past. Just looking at others.
Thanks,
Chris
