New build with single shot savage target action...

I am starting a new build off a single shot savage target action. I am looking for ideas for the stock to be used with this build. I want to keep the cost down to a reasonable price, but the question I have is who makes a stock for the single shot action. This gun will be used for hunting. Thanks in advance for your time.

If it is the new 3.4 screw spacing nobody. You will have to go custom $$$. If it is the 4.4 spacing any short action center feed stock will work, just leave out the middle screw and you will be good to go.

shehane, stockade, richards........i'm sure that the custom stock makers could/would do one as well. pretty much the only places you WON'T find one...are places like mcmillian and manners, but, i bet even they could make on up for you if you called

Richard's Micro-fit (yeah, right) will inlet to what ever degree you want. Have them leave the magazine area whole and drill the front action screw hole only. Assuming you are pillar bedding this rifle and are handy with a drill press drill the second (and third if you are using it) and install pillars when you glass bed. They only take orders by phone so hopefully they can set you up right the first time. Lot's of work to get them finished but the rifles I have built with their stocks shoot well and look great.
