New brass issues

The following Paragraph and pictures are from a reloading discord I'm in.
The individual who posted this is ex military member.

The second thing I purchased some red box winchester ammo that had some very funny color primers. In a video I made I said to the naked eye they look like something in between small and large primer I was half way joking until I went to reload those cases. The small pistol primer falls out and the large only goes half way in.

My question is the government doin this to track ammo sales.
2. Keep reloaders from useing the NEW made brass by have a between size primer.

You need the tool that removes the primer crimping ridge. It's military intended brass.

Exactly...but it is so much more fun to cite conspiracy theories. I also have to question the "ex-military" status of the group member having this problem. Easy to say such things on the 'net, but surely a military professional would be aware of crimped cases? Of course, anyone can make a video.

You'd be surprised at how little even the best trained snipers in the world know about the finer points of their equipment and munitions. Not part of their job requirements.

The snipers all shoot the same standard ammo. Not what's best for their rifle. I read somewhere that if a sniper rifle shoots 1" groups at 100 yards it meets the requirement and it's released for use in the field. Like someone else said snipers are not into reloading or bench rest shooting.

His military experience may have been.
1) admin. aka "Remington Raiders"
2) supply. aka "Skivvy Stackers"
not much range time and NO reloading of ammunition

Depending on the branch, the number of military members that actually work with firearms is far outweighed by those that don't. In the Air Force if aren't security forces, TacP, or PJ, you will most likely only shoot in basic training and before deploying. You'd be surprised how little even some of the CATM instructors know.

W3ll I can tell you that a small primer falls into case and a large is to big.
This is not my brass but a friend of mine that was having issues a red box of winchester brass.

He is a civilian now, so your saying most former military servicemen don't reload... you would be surprised how many reload.
I doubt one in a hundred gun owners reload. Can't imagine why ex military would be different.

Not one in a thousand gun owners reload. Tell us why ex military
Assumptions mmmmm.
Next time I won't put military and let you or anyone else assume he doesn't know what he was talking about.
Plus I put in the initial post it was from a Reloading discord I'm in.

I SAID it was small primed brass, A small primer would just fall into the primer pocket but a large wouldn't go in.. So why would a small primer just fall into a small primer pocket.
Yes he has a pocket swager

This is exactly right. I was Air Force Security Forces and we also managed and manned the Armory. The only time anyone outside of those few groups mentioned ever touched a firearm was for qualifying. And once in a blue moon, pilots would check out an M9. Being in the military doesn't make one an arms expert.
