New boltaction made for high volume prarie dogs

Perhaps not the original intent but it would certainly be effective with something like a Magpul D-60.

Interesting.. but..... I shot Prairie Dogs prone for years using a shooting mat.. that side magazine would block your view. IMO.. cool concep...

an ar from a rest or a bipod does great with 20 rd mags.
got no use for this design.
i shoot pd's from a bench not prone

I have to ask. How will it block your view? It is below your scope or am I missing something?

Doesn't Mossberg already have one that uses AR mags?.
Yes they do and there is At least one company that are making bolt action uppers for ar lowers if you do not want to run semi. I think there is a new company doing it also so there are options. Very limited but one is still a choice.

You are.. go shoot prairie dogs prone. Tape something like a magazine to the "side of your rifle.. you'll see.. or better said maybe better said "what you won't see."

You are doing it wrong then. I only hunt from the ground. I have never looked for targets with my head down so low. To the side of the scope. yup I have done that. Over the scope. Yup again. How you are describing? Never.

On a side note I would love to know how many hundreds of thousands of rounds I have fired at PD over the years.

I would love to know how tall your bipod is to enable you look for them at the side of the rifle.

My grandpa would have said “Son, that gun looks like a bull’s ass sewn up with a grapevine”

Funny fella.
