New Bolt for Remington 700 Long action 300 Win Mag to 7mm 284 Cal conversion

Hello shooters. I am an Australian F Class shooter currently shooting with an Accuracy International stock fitted with a Remington 700 Long Action in 300 Win Mag.
I am intending to convert / rebuild this rifle into a 7mm 284 cal using the same 700 long action AI Stock and a new barrel however my associates in my gun club advise me I will need to purchase a new bolt with a bolt face to suit. Can someone please advise on this and if there is a supplier who can supply this bolt into Australia?
I am also looking to install a match grade trigger and your assistance in that would also be appreciated

You will need to change the bolt to one with a smaller face for the straight 284...
Have you thought about the 7mm SAUM ?
Other wise you'll need to buy a new bolt or trade it off to someone with a standard .473 bolt..
If you end up needing to buy one, call Dave Kiff at PT&G....

Not sure what you mean by 7mm 284. Are you want ting to change to the 284 Win cartridge or just a 7mm? You could go to the 7mm Remington mag with no bolt change. Another option would be a conversion of your bolt to the smaller face with a Sako extractor conversion.

I second the 7mm SAUM. You can load it down if you like. Easiest caliber conversion for you.
