



It sure will feel good to get the boomer out again. I haven’t shot it in over 11 months. (It took that long to get the barrel I wanted.) Come on spring!

Load development will be forthcoming when the temperature gets above 50 degrees. I’ll be trying a new powder for me, N570. The bullets, brass, and primers won’t change. Lapua cases, Federal 215m primers, and 300gr SMK’s. And the really neat thing is the reamer Insite used. It’s probably just luck, but I found the lands with the 300gr SMK bullet. It’s exactly the same CBTO as the original chamber. I will pay very close attention when seating, but damn! The seating die will be really close right off the bat.
It’s hard to tell how big that new barrel is from the pictures. You just need to see it first hand. That’s why I call it a truck axle barrel.
