I fireformed 25 cases for a 223 AI while breaking in a new X-Caliber barrel. My break-in process is shoot clean after each of the first 5, then clean every 5 shots up to 25 rounds. Accuracy wasn’t what I expected so I checked out my barrel with my Teslong borescope (I’m new to borescoping). The images were perplexing. My Bartlein barrels certainly don’t look like this but neither do my two other X-caliber barrels. Any idea what caused what look like pits and gouges in this barrel? I’m curious, but this needs the assistance of experts on this forum. Thanks in advance for your thoughts
