A new barrel block is being released by Dave Ki ff of PT&G that is ideal for F class shooters who do their own stock work. This unit is 8" long, is vented aluminum, split horizontally, great for great hot conditions, locks barrel of Remmy without recoil lug in tapered bore. I have the prototype working in 300wsm without a lug.... Allow 9.5" at breech diameter fro the block, tenon length and clearance AND use high temp epoxy to bed and allow correct thickness below block for magazine and correct feeding if you are using one.
