New Barrel/Action COAL question

I just installed a Proof prefit barrel to a Defiance Ruckus XM. Go/No go checked. I then measured the Chamber and found that with a 156 Berger installed in a hornady dummy case the COAL is 3.0405 to the lands. (pardon me IF my terms are a wee bit off...I'm a NooB). The dummy case cycles just fine.
Does this measurement(3.0405) sound ok?

Sounds ok to me. For my 6.5 PRC I load my Berger 153.5's to a COAL of 3.056 and my Berger 140 hybrids to 3.045 and that's about .020 from my lands . . just to give you some sense of how your measurement relates.

^^^
Bottom line is the throat is cut with the chamber by the same reamer. SAAMI spec chamber, will have the leade cut to spec. Passes go/no go, can't be anything but spec.

Bit of apples and oranges, PRC case length is .110 longer than the Creed, and without looking them up have no idea of what the spec freebore is with the PRC, but likely not the same either.

??? Both mention PRC, not Creedmoor.

Your go/no go gauges will only be to set the headspace of your cartridge.
IE from the bolt face to a set datum point on the shoulder.

The reamer that cut the chamber in your barrel will have a set throat/freebore.
You can throat ream to set a heavy bullet out longer. But it is a separate operation if the reamer used to cut your chamber has a shorter throat/freebore spec than you wanted.
