This is an example of there being little difference between the two parties, and why people thinking that the Repubs are really doing more than using talking points for your votes is wishful thinking.

The way a lot of people are conditioned to view this is to think that these two, or any others when they "cross party lines" is as if they did it on their own. Think of it more as who the party can allow to take the heat for something they are not against in the first place. Now they will really stir up your vote and have talking points for something they made sure happened in the first place.

They really know how to work their audience and secure their positions.

My current favorite discussion is to ask a strong Democratic supporter is why the Dems didn't codify Roe in 2008 when they had the presidency, the house and a 60 vote majority in the senate.
Do you believe that they are so incompetent that they didn't do anything about the most important plank on the Democratic agenda or do you believe they raise a lot more money and get a lot more people to vote if everyone is fighting about it?

I'm in the same boat as you , in my country Australia we are still using pieces of paper and pencils the funny thing is the labour government which is the left wing component of this country their motto is vote early and vote often and they will actually say that to the press , there were tens of thousands of people who voted twice three four five times and the electoral commission never hand it out one fine

I disagree. Just because you have a few bad ones doesn't mean most of them are bad, or that the larger parties lack substantive differences.

I think I understand your point of view and in the sense that there seem to be 2 completely different value systems (apparently}, We the people THINK we have a choice. We don't. It's a False paradigm where we are mentally conditioned to BELIEVE we have a choice, Mostly done by the MEDIA, but in actuality both sides are owned and controlled by BIG MONEY!!
As long as we believe we have a choice, we are controllable. Yes, there are a FEW good
principled politicians, but Very Few! but they are kept from ever getting anything
